My goal when I started Personal Training with Lucy was to get stronger and gain confidence in the gym, both of which I have achieved. Before training with Lucy, going to the gym for me meant 45 minutes on a treadmill or cross trainer and the odd exercise class, and I would never have set foot in the weights section.
I have now been attending Personal Training sessions with Lucy for over a year and I still look forward to it every week. Lucy’s style of training really works and I feel fitter and stronger than ever before. I am always surprised at what I can lift, press and push! At first I was only managing body weight squats, now I am able to do 45kg in the squat rack and glute bridges of 100kg and I can do full press ups, something which I never thought I’d be able to do. Lucy has helped me understand the importance of correct form when exercising and I am now so much more confident with lifting weights.
I also love doing a partner session with my friend every so often! Lucy always introduces new exercises that keeps training interesting.
In addition to the physical achievements, training with Lucy has given me a much healthier mental outlook on both diet and fitness. Lucy’s holistic view on upholding physical and mental health as equally important is refreshing as the fitness word can often be focussed on aesthetics. I’ve moved away from restrictive eating and seeing fitness as a punishment!
I absolutely love training with Lucy, she’s so lovely, supportive and so motivating! She has a genuine interest in supporting you lead a fitter healthier lifestyle with support for workouts you can do in the gym, at home or on holiday as well as nutritional advice. I’ve learnt so much from Lucy, she’s willing to share her expert knowledge and is always open to answering any questions that I have.
Training with Lucy is great, she has a way of pushing you but in a way that’s suitable, she is full of encouragement and belief in her clients.
